Waubonsee Hosts Two-Day Women in STEM Fest

On April 1-2, students will have the opportunity to meet, interact with and be inspired by eight women who have made a career and their mark working in STEM-related fields.

Saúl Olivas, now a teacher assistant for special needs students in East Aurora School District 131, has leveraged his Waubonsee education and experiences into a career built on understanding for students who, much like him, might just need a bit of guidance and a patient hand up.

Students interested in attending Waubonsee Community College are invited to experience its campuses this spring, with two tour options to choose from.

10:00 a.m. in Student Center Lobby: Concordia University will be in the Student Center Lobby, 10:00am â€" 1:00pm. They will have all kinds of information about admission, transferring, and anything else you want to know!

4/1/2015 - Softball

3:00 p.m. in Softball Field: Come out and cheer for Softball vs. Rock Valley College

4/1/2015 - Women in STEM Fest

10:00 a.m. in Student Center 106: Meet women working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and get inspired! Presentations start every hour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
