Students, we care about you and know your success is closely related to your physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Waubonsee offers you a variety of opportunities to help you stay active and take care of your total self.

Get Waubonsee Fit at the Fitness Center

All Waubonsee students have FREE access to Waubonsee’s Fitness Center. Appropriate for all fitness levels, it has a wide range of cardiovascular and strength training equipment, free weights, a walking track, locker rooms, and showers. 

Waubonsee’s Fitness Center is located on the first floor of Erickson Hall on the Sugar Grove Campus.

NOTE: The Fitness Center will be available for FREE to use during the summer for current students (May to August), even if you are not taking any summer courses.

New students enrolling in summer or fall are also welcome to use the center over the summer, but all students require an X-number for entry.

Mon. - Thur. 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.

(NOTE: You’ll need to enter your X-number to gain access to the Fitness Center.)

Mental Health

The college offers personal counseling services to students year-round, and facilitates special programs and workshops during Mental Health Awareness Week.


We strive to make the teaching and learning experience accessible and comfortable for all. To do so, we provide academic accommodations for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses, as well as private areas for mothers with lactation needs.
