Veterans and current service members of the military may be granted a total of four semester hours of credit as a result of their basic military service training. Not all military training will be granted college credit. Experience is evaluated based on recommendations by the Commission of Accreditation of Service Experience of the American Council on Education (ACE). Training that is not equal to a Waubonsee Community College course cannot be granted credit.
- Military training is recorded as credit by proficiency (noted as an E on transcript).
- Credit will not be granted if a student is currently enrolled in or has previously earned credit for an equivalent course.
- Students should be aware that Credit by Proficiency may not transfer to other colleges and universities.
