Waubonsee is excited to offer this FREE three-day program to help you prepare for college success!

Preparing and Advancing Students for Opportunity and Success (P.A.S.O.S.) Summer Transition Program empowers first-year college students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in their college journey. Through academic preparation, mentorship, and community engagement, P.A.S.O.S. creates a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters personal and academic growth. Our goal is to enhance college readiness, strengthen student success, and increase degree attainment, ensuring that every participant takes strong and meaningful steps toward their future.

  • Only 25 students will be accepted to the program.
     
  • 2026 Program Dates: August 4-6 (mandatory, lunch provided) and August 7 (optional Chicago tour; transportation and lunch provided). 
     
  • Daily Schedule: The program begins and ends each day at Waubonsee's Aurora Downtown Campus.

  • Resources and opportunities available at Waubonsee to help you along the way
  • Mental health wellness, healthy relationships, and self-esteem
  • How to connect with a mentor
  • How to connect with alumni and other community leaders
  • How to discover your passions and talents while navigating your classes and extracurricular activities
