Industrial Systems Tech Professor Ballee Selected to MSSC Expert Panel

Waubonsee Community College Industrial Systems Technology Assistant Professor Shawn Ballee has been selected to serve on a manufactural national expert panel by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC).

Beginning her story: Student Anna Dutton Leverages Experience, Recognitions to Pen Story of Student Success

Before coming to Waubonsee Community College, student Anna Dutton, of Oswego, was named Northern Illinois' High School Journalist of the Year. Aided by a prestigious Lucile Gustafson Scholarship, Dutton is now using her time at Waubonsee to grow as a writer - in the classroom, through internships with local newspapers, and other media - as she prepares to launch her career in coming years.

Waubonsee Board of Trustees Recognizes Retiring Local Sheriffs Perez, Randall

The Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees thanked retiring local sheriffs, Kane County Sheriff Pat Perez and Kendall County Sheriff Richard Randall, for their years of service to Waubonsee's home communities.

Waubonsee Hosts Art Exhibitions in February, March

Waubonsee Community College's art spaces will host exhibitions through March, including "Unsoiled" by Allison Grant in the Arrowhead Room gallery in the Dickson Center on Waubonsee's Sugar Grove Campus.

Waubonsee, Delnor EMT-Paramedic Program Secures Accreditation

The EMT-Paramedic program administered by Waubonsee Community College, in partnership with Delnor Hospital in Geneva, has secured initial accreditation from the Committee on Accreditation forEmergency Medical Services Professions, an accreditation committee of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs. The accreditation means Waubonsee EMT-Paramedic students will be eligible for national certification, enabling them to work anywhere in the U.S.

Patrick Engineering Honored for Work on Waubonsee North Entrance Intersection

Patrick Engineering, of Lisle, has been recognized by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Illinois for its work to design the new intersection at Waubonsee's Sugar Grove Campus' North Entrance with Route 47, which improved safety for all using the entrance or driving through.

New Field House Makes Waubonsee Facilities Competitive 

For those who have driven to the north side of Waubonsee Community College’s Sugar Grove Campus recently, it is hard not to notice the new Field House, with its two-story images of four former athletes. Waubonsee Volunteers to Provide Free Income Tax Preparation Services

A team of volunteers from Waubonsee Community College will again help local families prepare their annual income tax returns for no cost through April 15, in partnership with the Center for Economic Progress' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
