Study Rooms and Spaces

The Waubonsee Libraries offer comfortable seating and study tables for classwork, group work, reading, and relaxing.

Study rooms/carrels are first-come, first-served on the day of, but may be reserved in advance. Please see the guidelines and make reservations below.

Aurora Fox Valley

The study room at Fox Valley Library is first-come, first-served only.

Family Workstations and Lactation Pods

The Aurora Downtown Campus Library has a family space ideal for student parents. The space includes a play area, two workstations attached to a playpen for a baby or toddler, and a lactation pod.

Lactation pods are available at all three campus libraries. Visit Health and Wellness Resources to get more information and view usage guidelines.

Technology

Computers

Waubonsee Libraries provide the following to currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff:

  • PC computers with Microsoft Office.
  • Laptops for in-library use, with Microsoft Office and Lockdown Browser.
  • Students may qualify for a semester-long loan of a laptop and/or hotspot. To learn more, visit Device Loans.

Additional technologies are available in our Library of Things.

Printers and Copiers

Printers and photocopiers are available to currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff for free. Waubonsee Libraries have:

  • Black & White and Color Printers
    • Available from library computers and wireless devices (instructions linked below)
  • Photocopiers with scan-to-USB or scan-to-email capabilities

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available to currently enrolled students, faculty, staff and guests. Feel free to use the following networks accordingly:

Assistive Technologies

Assistive technologies are available at all campus libraries. Waubonsee Libraries offer computers with assistive equipment, text readers, and video magnifiers. For more information visit Assistive Technologies.
