Waubonsee Announces 2026-2027 Tuition Rates
The Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees has approved tuition rates for the 2026-2027 academic year. Beginning with the fall 2026 semester, the college’s in-district and online tuition rate will increase from $141 to $146 per credit hour. The student fee will remain the same at $8 per credit hour.

Nine Waubonsee Students Awarded Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship to Advance in CNC Technology
Nine students at Waubonsee Community College have been named recipients of the Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship, receiving a combined $8,500 in scholarship funding to support their educational and career goals. This award directly assists students as they prepare for high-tech careers in Computerized Numeric Control (CNC) machining.

Waubonsee Debuts Free Shuttle Bus Connecting Sugar Grove and Aurora Downtown Campuses
As the spring semester kicks off, Waubonsee Community College is removing barriers for students with the launch of a new, free shuttle bus service. Starting January 20, 2026, the first day of the college’s spring semester, students can travel seamlessly between the Sugar Grove and Aurora Downtown Campuses at no cost.
Waubonsee MLK Tribute Invites Community to RISE Through Service and Celebration, Jan. 29
Waubonsee Community College invites students, faculty and staff, alumni, and community members to an in-person tribute, “RISE as One: A Community Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.” The evening of reflection and unity will feature keynote speaker Clayton Muhammad and take place on Thursday, Jan. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. on the college’s Sugar Grove Campus in the Academic and Professional Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Free Professional Tax Service Returns to Waubonsee’s Aurora Downtown Campus
Waubonsee Community College, in partnership with Ladder Up, will provide free tax preparation services at the college’s Aurora Downtown Campus, located at 18 S. River Street. These services are available to the community on Saturdays, Jan. 31 through Apr. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis only, and the site will close when capacity is reached.
