The President’s List at Waubonsee Community College celebrates excellence among students who achieve a 4.0 grade-point average out of a possible 4.0 while enrolled in at least six semester credit hours.

Waubonsee Community College continues its tradition of excellence in Career and Technical Education (CTE), earning national recognition at the 2025 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) held in Atlanta, GA, from June 23-27, 2025.

Waubonsee Community College has announced the 2025 Support Staff Awards for Excellence. Awards were presented in each of three categories: Service and Quality, Innovation and Creativity, and Diversity and Inclusion.

After a nationwide search, Waubonsee Community College has appointed John Bryant, of Morris, to the position of Vice President of Finance and Administration. 

Two new proposals—Senate Bill 2482 and House Bill 3717—would empower Illinois community colleges to offer baccalaureate degrees in high-demand areas, unlocking more accessible, affordable, and local options for students—especially adult learners balancing work, family, and education. In turn, these programs would help build a stronger, more skilled workforce, fueling growth in our communities and across the state. 

At just 19 years old, Jorge Lagunas Delgado, of Aurora, is preparing to cross the stage this spring at Waubonsee Community College with an Associate in Science degree and a clear path toward his dream career in pharmacy.

A Waubonsee Community College faculty member has been recognized by the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Kathleen Randall, Professor of Education, was one of 32 faculty selected for the 2025 Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition. This award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond what is required to ensure students succeed academically.
