Many employers in the Waubonsee Community College district rely on temporary workers to augment their workforce. In fact, with 17,000 openings this year, Waubonsee’s region is one of the state’s largest in terms of temporary workers.

Community residents can learn popular Microsoft Office software and earn college credit tuition-free, thanks to a new grant-funded program. Required information sessions will take place Aug. 3 and 4.

Waubonsee Community College auto body repair students Daniel Dwyer and Jordan Herrera each earned a fourth place finish in their respective categories at the 51st annual National Leadership and Skills Conference late last month.

Waubonsee Program Helps East High Students Succeed

This year, 100 percent of Upward Bound's seniors graduated from East Aurora High School, with all 100 percent being accepted into college. For these and other accomplishments, Waubonsee is proud to recognize Upward Bound as part of the college’s “Student Success: Institutional Stories” program.
