Grab your pedals, paddles and racquets - Bike the Burbs is rolling into Sugar Grove!

Join us on the Sugar Grove campus for our third annual Bike the Burbs, a fun-filled event for all ages. New this year -- we'll celebrate the grand opening of our brand-new tennis and pickleball courts!

Stop by for family-friendly activities:

✂️ Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
🥤 Complimentary Refreshments like Dapper Brew Coffee and Hot Cocoa (while supplies last)
🏸 Tennis and Pickleball Instruction and Open Court Play
🚴 Self-guided Campus Tours, Bike Decorations, Temporary Tattoos, and Coloring

10:00 a.m. - 1 p.m. Bicycle Rentals, Bicycle Safety Checks, and Family-Friendly Activities
10:30 a.m. Group Bicycle Rides Depart 
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Complimentary Instruction: Tennis Tips and Tricks and Pickleball 101 
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tennis and Pickleball Open Play

Welcome All Levels of Bicyclists!

Self-guided bike tours around campus with informational stops along the route:

  • Start in front of Tennis and Pickleball Complex
  • Stops along the route: TEC, Huntoon Lake, Gilman Trail, Dickson, Student Center, Kiln, Library and Collins, APC, Fieldhouse, Baseball and Softball Field and Garden

Beginner/Immediate Bike Ride:

  • 4-13 miles round trip (1 hour or less)

Advanced Bike Ride:

  • 40-mile round trip (2.5-3 hours)
  • limited to 20 riders

Pickleball Instruction by Macey Brooks

Macey Brooks is a former NFL player turned pickleball ambassador and instructor. He has introduced the sport to hundreds of new players through clinics, community events, and his work with the Oswegoland Senior and Community Center, Oswego Park District, RUSH Copley Healthplex, and Pickler Pickleball Club in Wheaton. His energetic and approachable teaching style makes learning pickleball fun and accessible for all ages.
