Bio:
Currently a Chicago-based artist, Hannah Barco was raised in Durham, NC and received a BFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and an MFA in Performance from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Currently, she works as Assistant Director of the Department of Exhibitions at SAIC. Barco has exhibited and performed her work in Chicago at venues such as the Hyde Park Art Center, the Chicago Artist Coalition, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Sullivan Galleries, the Out of Site Public Performance Series, Defibrillator, and out on the streets. Barco was recently included in the survey exhibition “Walking Sculpture 1967-2015” at the de Cordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Boston, Massachusetts.
