Bio:
Laura Hart Newlon is currently an MFA candidate at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She holds an MA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Washington and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Western Washington University. Newlon’s recent body of work approaches photography quizzically, comically, and even painterly.

Newlon has exhibited in Seattle, Washington at Joe Bar Project Space, Ouch My Eye Gallery, Pravda Studios, the Northwest Film Forum, the Photographic Center Northwest, and at the University of Washington. Her work has also been shown in Chicago at The School of the Art Institute’s Sullivan Galleries, MDW Art Fair, Roxaboxen Exhibitions, and ACRE Projects. Additionally, her work has been featured at Holland Project Gallery (Reno, NV), and at Sandbox Studios (Portland, OR).
