Class registration made easy

Whether you’re a new student who has been working through the admissions/enrollment process or a returning student ready for more courses, we strive to make the registration process as simple and quick as possible. If you do run into a challenge, know that we are here to answer any questions related to payment, residency, waitlisting, holds, prereqs, registration errors and more.

Since courses can fill up, we encourage you to register as soon as possible each semester. Check the important dates and registration deadlines for more information. Late Enrollment may be available for certain courses.

To hold your summer 2025 semester course(s) and avoid being dropped for nonpayment, you must make a payment arrangement by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. Visit our Paying Tuition page for more information, including details on our new Waubonsee Success Scholarship.

For new and returning students with an X-number, online registration is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week through the mywcc portal. Read our helpful online registration tips.

Workforce Education - Noncredit

New students interested in professional development through Workforce Education should complete either:

Professional Development/Workforce Education Online Pre-Registration Form	Professional Development Course Registration Form (pdf)
Use this form to receive an X-number and register online. Registration and Records will email the continuing steps once processed.	Use this printable form to be able to register with a credit card and USPS mail or fax.

Prospective noncredit students who have an X-number can also utilize online registration on mywcc.

Note that if you mail or fax a course registration form, you will receive a statement/confirmation in the mail from Waubonsee. If you register online, please make sure to check your course schedule in mywcc.

Adult Education

Waubonsee's Adult Education Department includes High School Equivalency (HSE), English Language Acquisition (ELA), and other courses that help area residents improve their basic skills in English, reading and math and/or prepare for the GED test at no cost.

Adult Education programs don’t offer credit but usually require a placement test to make sure you enroll in the correct classes; contact the Adult Education office at (630) 966-4600 or AdultEd@waubonsee.edu to schedule yours.

High School Students

Waubonsee welcomes qualified high school students to take courses and get a head start on college. To get started, high school students must complete the High School Dual Credit Application Form. Once the form has been processed you will receive an email from Registration and Records with your Waubonsee X-number and next steps before registering for classes. During peak times, it may take up to a week for your application to be processed.

Note that high school students taking a dual credit course at a Waubonsee campus qualify for a 30% tuition discount! Learn more at our dual credit page. Online only classes are charged in-district tuition and fees.

Students 16 and older

Current high school students wishing to take a course while still in high school are permitted to enroll in credit courses for which they have met the prerequisite requirements. The requirements may include taking placement testing (Reading, English, or Math) at Waubonsee, submitting official ACT or SAT scores, or your official High School transcript to Waubonsee.

Whether taking a course for both high school and college credit (dual credit) or just college credit, students must complete and submit the High School Student Registration and Authorization Form (pdf). If requesting dual credit, a signature from a high school counselor or principal is required. All students under age 16 must also complete the Underage Student Authorization Form.

Students younger than 16

Students below junior status or younger than 16* who want to register for classes at Waubonsee must present a copy of their high school transcripts and a completed Underage High School Student Authorization Form (pdf) with their high school counselor's/principal's signature to the Admissions Department. Please note this form is in addition to the High School Student Registration and Authorization Form (pdf) and is required whether a student is interested in both high school and college credit (dual credit) or just college credit.

*Note: If a student will be turning 16 during the semester he/she is planning on attending, then the Underage Authorization Form is not required.

After High School Graduation

Students who are graduating high school and plan to take courses after graduation should begin by submitting a New Student Application.
