Computer Information Systems

Given that we use information technology to perform just about every one of our daily tasks, it is no surprise that IT workers are in demand.  Our computer information systems graduates possess the vital technical and business skills needed to join the work force as a computer operator, computer programmer or help desk specialist, among other positions. Each degree includes a set of five core information systems courses along with well-defined elective choices.

Individuals interested in launching an immediate career in computer information systems should consider one of our career education Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degrees or Certificates of Achievement in such areas as software development, computer support or computer gaming. Transfer degree programs are also available for students who would like to go on to earn a bachelor's degree.

Facilities
The computer information systems program office is located in the Academic and Professional Center (APC), with students also utilizing state-of-the-art labs in the Henning Academic Computing Center (HCC) and other campus locations.
