What Students Should Know About Immigration Enforcement and Support

At Waubonsee Community College, we are dedicated to protecting the privacy and rights of every student, regardless of immigration status, to the fullest extent allowable by law. Here’s what students should know about how staff are trained to respond if immigration officials come to campus or if anyone asks about your immigration status.

Resources

Know Your Rights – Below you'll find links to a variety of resources on campus and in the community. One of those community resources is the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights site. The site provides key "Know Your Rights" information as well as a support hotline.

Undocumented or under DACA? Yes, you can still apply!

When filling out your New Student Application you can use 999-99-9999 in Social Security if you do not have a SSN or ITIN number. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Admissions 630-466-5756 and admissions@waubonsee.edu should you have any questions about how to complete your New Student Application.

Don’t forget to send Waubonsee any previous college credits earned. You can learn more on how to do so by visiting Transferring Credit into Waubonsee.
