As the community’s college, Waubonsee will redefine what it means to be accessible and will enhance our efforts to meet students and the community where they are. As the district and its residents’ educational goals become increasingly diverse, we will invest in developing, enhancing, and marketing academic programs to meet students’ needs, both in terms of content and delivery This includes building capacity to devote time, space, and resources toward supporting new academic programs and ways of learning that best ready our community for their next step.

Grow non-credit offerings in response to regional industry skill demands (i.e., general professional development, AI skill building, expanded bilingual course delivery) and in alignment with regional job growth in fields such as teaching, data management, and market research.

Redefine and reinvigorate Faculty Development, providing faculty with access to available, relevant data and research about what benefits students and employers, training to ensure that learning experiences draw on proven practices from across the region and the country, and the services to connect with prospective employer partners.
