Waubonsee Community College has appointed Charles Ruetsche, of Geneva, to the position of full-time Manufacturing Technology Instructor.

Since 2011, Ruetsche has worked in manufacturing engineering positions with two major regional manufacturing companies, Mazak Corporation in Schaumburg and Caterpillar Inc. in Montgomery.

At Mazak, he worked as a computer numerical control (CNC) applications engineer. Since October 2011, he has worked as a manufacturing engineer for CNC programming at Caterpillar.

Before beginning his career, Ruetsche spent two months in Tanzania, Africa, designing and fabricating solar modules while on a humanitarian service trip with the Northern Illinois University student service organization, Engineers Without Borders. 

Ruetsche has taught as an adjunct instructor at NIU’s College of Engineering and Engineering Technology.

From NIU, he earned a Bachelor of Science in manufacturing engineering technology and a Master of Science in industrial management.
