Internships
Waubonsee's internship programs benefit both students and employers. Students apply what they’re learning in the classroom to the real world of work, while employers help ensure a future generation of students are being properly prepared for their industry. Internships also provide employers the opportunity to be strategic with their recruitment efforts, having potentially invested in a long-term employee should the experience prove mutually beneficial. For information on offering an internship to a Waubonsee student, reference the Employers Hosting Waubonsee Interns FAQ or contact the Academic & Career Advising.

Career Fairs
Waubonsee’s Academic & Career Advising hosts career fairs each year, connecting prospective employers with qualified candidates: our students and alumni! Events are held at the Sugar Grove, Aurora Downtown and Plano Campuses. Learn more about recruiting at one of our career fairs.

On Campus Recruiting
Maintaining a strong presence on campus is key to recruiting students. On Campus Recruiting (OCR) is an effective brand management strategy for employers, helping them stay visible to students. Waubonsee’s OCR is similar to a “flash mob” or pop-up event. We host a small group of employers (3-5) who offer positions to a targeted group of students.
