Introduction to the field of education and teaching with opportunities to examine and evaluate a career as a high school science teacher in a diverse school. Mentoring from current science teachers, participants of this 1-week intensive training will have the opportunity to observe lab-based science classes at a local high school, learn teaching methods from licensed educators, and apply the skills. They will design and teach a hands-on science lesson to high school students. Pre-requisite: NOYCE scholarship recipient at Waubonsee Community College Note: Non-repeatable
