In this course students will learn about simultaneous and sequential multilingual development in children ages 0-6 years. Language assessment procedures, tools and observation methods will be studied and implemented. Students will be planning and implementing learning activities in a multilingual early childhood classroom. Strategies to communicate and work in cooperation with multilingual families will be discussed. 10 hours working in a multilingual classroom is required for completion of this course. Recommended Prereq, Completion of ECE145 Multiculturalism in Early Childhood and ECE210 Language Arts for the Young Child or concurrent enrollment
