TRIO Upward Bound Program

Helping you prepare for higher education

The Waubonsee Upward Bound Program is a college completion program serving students enrolled at East Aurora High School (EAHS) and West Aurora High School (WAHS).

We provide the support and motivation necessary to graduate high school and earn a college degree.

How can the Waubonsee Upward Bound Program help me?

Our staff gives students the academic resources and support to ensure they are successful in college.
We provide a variety of workshops to help you learn more about careers, how to be a better student and how to choose the best college for you.
We'll work with you individually to complete college, financial aid and scholarship applications.
We only work with students at EAHS and WAHS, so you're sure to have our full attention! Staff are available to assist students Monday - Friday, from first period until 5 p.m.

Academic and college readiness workshops
After-School Tutoring
Academic and College advisement
College preparatory courses (credit and noncredit)
Career exploration activities + Internship opportunities
College visits, cultural enrichment activities and special events
Preparation for ACT, SAT®, AP® exams and other standardized tests
Individual assistance with college admissions, scholarship, and financial aid applications
6-week summer program on the Waubonsee Sugar Grove Campus (Optional)

How do I get started?

The first step is to complete a new student application, which is available from your school counselor, in EAHS Classroom 201, WAHS Classroom A104A, and here.
Applications may be submitted in person, electronically or by mail.
Once your application is processed, we will contact you to schedule a family interview. Flexible scheduling and bilingual staff are available.
