Student Volunteering & Community Engagement
Connecting with our community is an important part of the Waubonsee student experience. Volunteering allows students to make a difference, build skills, and learn more about social issues affecting our region.
We encourage students to explore volunteer opportunities both through Waubonsee and independently within the community.
Find Student Volunteer Opportunities
A great place to begin is Volunteer Fox Valley, which connects individuals with a wide range of local nonprofit organizations and service opportunities.

Engagement Fairs
Student Life hosts Engagement Fairs each fall and spring that include nonprofit partners. These events help connect students with local resources, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved in the community.
Annual Day of Service
Each April, Student Life organizes Waubonsee’s Day of Service, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and alumni to serve at nonprofit organizations throughout the community. Participants can select a service site that aligns with their interests and passions.
