Borrowing with Interlibrary Loan

Looking for something we don’t have?

With interlibrary loans, you can request books that are not in our collection, ones marked missing or long overdue, and even articles we don’t have access to. All students and staff at WCC and any residents (18 years or older) of Community College District 516 are eligible for borrowing privileges.

  • Please allow approximately 10 days for book requests and 2-3 days for article requests to be processed.
  • Due Dates: determined by the lending library
    • Materials may be returned to any of the Waubonsee Libraries campuses. (Note: articles do not need to be returned.)
  • Need a renewal? Email libill@waubonsee.edu. Please note that renewals are determined by the lending library, and they have the right to refuse the renewal request.
  • Borrowers are responsible for the costs of lost or damaged items. Replacement cost is determined by the lending library.

A quick heads-up on what you can’t request:

Materials we already have (like books or articles in the catalog), textbooks, and e-books aren’t available through Interlibrary Loan.
