Using legal research methods, students will locate mandatory primary sources in order to write a legal memorandum that focuses on a local legal issue. Students will learn to identify the elements of a law to support facts acquired from client interviews and match facts to relevant case law. Recommended Coreq, PLG100 and ENG101 or ENG152

A blend of face-to-face class meetings in a traditional classroom and online. Required face-to-face class meetings are: Wednesday from 6:30 - 9:15 pm. Scheduled on campus days: 08/26, 09/09, 09/23, 10/07, 10/21, 11/04, 11/18, 12/02. This course uses Open Educational Resources (OER) instead of traditional textbooks, so there is no cost for course materials.
