

Twenty-nine Waubonsee Community College students competed at the SkillsUSA Illinois 2025 State Championships, held April 24-26 in Peoria. Seventeen students placed in the top three finishes in their contests, standing out among more than 2,000 students from across the state.
The recognized students are:

Waubonsee’s first place winners will advance to the National Leadership & Skills Conference this June in Atlanta, GA. Their success reflects the college’s continued investment in Illinois’ skilled workforce anchored by its new state-of-the-art 100,000 sq ft Technical Education Center (TEC) at its Sugar Grove Campus. Set to open in August, the TEC will serve as the hub for several of Waubonsee's career and technical education programs and a driving force for economic growth in the region and beyond.
