David Voorhees, Professor of Earth Science and Geology, has been selected as Waubonsee's 2021 Outstanding Faculty Member. Professor Voorhees has served as a full-time Earth Science and Geology instructor at Waubonsee since 2002. 

Waubonsee Community College will be offering two walk-in, community-wide, COVID-19 vaccination clinics during the first week of classes. The clinics will offer participants the option to choose between receiving the first of two Pfizer shots or a single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

In the early 1990s, the stigma of mental illness was continual, and I was not immune to its’ influence. Like many pre-licensure nursing students, I can remember dreading the start of my mental health nursing class, and my subsequent clinical experience only exacerbated those fears.

Waubonsee Community College has reinstated its mask policy after a recommended mask update was released on Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as concerns rise over the Delta variant of COVID-19. 

Waubonsee Community College welcomes new and returning students back to all four campuses with registration events designed to make it easy for students to enroll and get questions answered on the spot. 

Waubonsee Community College’s Office of Faculty Development and Engagement began investigating one of the most flexible delivery for classrooms; something that could put students in control of where, when, and how they attend class either fully online, entirely in-person, or both. We knew we wanted something to be as flexible as possible. And that is when the class modality, Flex, was born.

Waubonsee Community College has announced the 2021 Support Staff Awards for Excellence at the July board meeting. One award was presented in each of three categories: Innovation and Creativity, Service and Quality, and Diversity and Inclusion.
