COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

As required by Governor Pritzker’s new COVID-19 mandates, Waubonsee Community College is working quickly to develop processes to comply with the requirement of vaccination or weekly COVID-19 testing for all higher education students and employees. During this time, current mitigation measures remain in place and classes, services, and college operations continue.

“Our goal is to ensure learning remains uninterrupted as we develop solutions to secure the health and safety of our entire community,” said Amanda Geist, Executive Director of Marketing and Communications.

The college has provided several walk-in, community-wide COVID-19 clinics throughout the year and plans to continually host vaccine clinics on campus. “Our hope is that anyone who has not been vaccinated and desires to do so, can come here and be served,” said Geist.

The vaccine clinics offer participants a convenient option to choose between receiving the first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine or a single shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Participants who plan to receive the second Pfizer shot must provide an Official COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. At this time, booster shots are not available. No identification or insurance is required to attend. The time and date for the next clinic is:

  • Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 2:00  to 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Campus in the Student Center Café

Additionally, Waubonsee students registered for fall classes who have received their final vaccination on or after July 1, 2021, will be eligible to receive a $100 credit at the Waubonsee Bookstore on the Sugar Grove or Aurora Downtown Campuses. Proof of registration, an official COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, and a photo ID will be required. Limit one per person. Convenient testing services for students and employees are under development.
