Sugar Grove – The Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees has voted unanimously to keep the college’s tuition rate steady for the 2021–2022 academic year. The current in-district tuition rate of $132 per credit hour will remain in effect through next year, as will the current student fee of $8 per credit hour.

The college continues to do what it can to provide some measure of relief to area residents during the pandemic. Waubonsee’s combined tuition and fees rate remains below the state average for Illinois community colleges, reflecting the board’s ongoing commitment to affordability.

The college, which recently had its Moody’s Aa1 rating reaffirmed, debuted a larger Pandemic Relief Plan in December. That multi-pronged plan included actions that will reduce property tax bills for district residents in 2021, as well as directly support spring semester credit students with the Spring Forward and the Pandemic Relief Scholarship programs.
