The Waubonsee Community College Foundation presented 14 students with the John J. Swalec, Jr. President’s Achievement Award. The students were chosen for this award from a pool of 175 qualified applicants. Individual interviews were conducted on March 7 by a panel of five judges made up of community and business leaders.

The John J. Swalec, Jr. President’s Achievement Awards program is an effort to identify and reward individual student achievement and to honor those individuals who have overcome obstacles on their way to achieving their educational goals. These awards are given to help them attain those goals.
