Working in Accounting

You’ll start working in accounting while you’re still at Waubonsee: Our students take their skills to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, preparing taxes for low- to moderate-income families in our community. Many students also obtain an internship.

Work experience gained in college is vital to being competitive after graduation, whether you plan to work in public accounting, within a government agency, for a multinational company, with a non-profit organization or for a small business; accounting employment opportunities can be found within every industry.
