High school students, prospective students, and parents can explore higher education options in one place as Waubonsee Community College hosts its annual College Night on Monday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. inside the Field House on the Sugar Grove Campus (Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive).
Free and open to the public, College Night connects local students and families directly with representatives from more than 100 four-year colleges and universities nationally. The event offers a one-stop setting to learn about the college admissions process. Popular breakout workshops on choosing a major, financial aid, and helpful advice for choosing a college will be available.
Attendees will be able to take advantage of two special pre-event facility tours, available by pre-registration, including:
- College Night Campus Tour: A guided tour of Waubonsee’s state-of-the-art facilities and scenic campus, teaching and learning spaces, innovative labs, student resources, campus life, and more.
- Technical Education Center Tour: An exclusive look inside Waubonsee’s 100,000-square-feet facility, home to premier programs in Automotive Collision and Refinishing Technology, Automotive Service Technology, and Welding Technology.
To remove transportation barriers for local students and the community, Waubonsee is providing free round-trip bus service from its Aurora Downtown Campus to the Sugar Grove Campus. Advance registration is required to sign up for the College Night Bus.
