Whether you need help planning your academic path or just successfully completing it, Waubonsee advisors are here for you. 

Getting Enrolled with Admissions 

When you’re first learning about Waubonsee, you’ll be paired up with an Admissions Advisor. Admissions will guide you through the enrollment process, including choosing and registering for your first semester of courses. 

Transferring, Graduating, Succeeding with Academic and Career Advising 

Once you’ve started courses, early in your first semester, you’ll be paired with an Advisor/Counselor from our Academic and Career Advising team, who will work with you throughout your time here. Your Advisor/Counselor can provide all kinds of support, including:

• creating and updating your academic plan
• plotting out your transfer process to the four-year school of your choice
• transferring credit into Waubonsee 
• exploring careers
• selecting courses for your second semester and beyond
• applying to graduate
• and more! 

You’re always encouraged to reach out to your Advisor/Counselor whenever you need them. But there are also key times where your Advisor/Counselor will reach out to you, just to touch base on your goals and progress toward them. Because these key times are so important (ex. your first semester, as you’re getting about halfway to your degree), a hold will be placed on your account and you will be unable to register for the next semester’s classes until that touch base.
