Student Center Students Walking Sugar Grove

Waubonsee Community College invites prospective students, families, and community members to explore transfer and career programs at its Sugar Grove Campus on Saturday, April 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is family-friendly, free, and open to the public.

Attendees may choose to join a guided tour of Waubonsee's state-of-the-art facilities and scenic campus or explore at their own pace, discovering all the college’s teaching and learning spaces. This interactive open house allows visitors to engage directly with faculty across multiple disciplines, highlighting programs such as Business, Computer Aided Design and Drafting, Communication, Engineering, Kinesiology, Human Services, and Health Information Technology. Beyond the classroom, attendees can tour specialized labs and learning spaces dedicated to Art, HVAC, Kinesiology, Math, Music, Science, and Sociology. Visitors can also learn about our nine-month Water and Wastewater Technology program. For students looking to transfer to four-year institutions, Waubonsee staff will be on-site to explain how students can complete two years of college credits within a single year. Attendees can also get information on financial aid, scholarships, and getting started.

At Waubonsee, students receive a high-quality education and earn full college credit for general education courses and associate degree programs at approximately one third the cost of a traditional public university. Waubonsee remains deeply committed to removing barriers to higher education. The college is proud to highlight its free shuttle service between the Sugar Grove and Aurora Downtown Campuses. This service makes it easier for students to travel between locations, access more classes, and stay connected to campus life.

With registration currently open for the summer semester and the fall semester set to begin on Aug. 17, this open house offers valuable resources for those pursuing degree completion, professional development, or personal enrichment. All community members are encouraged to discover the full range of opportunities available at Waubonsee. Visit waubonsee.edu/visit to RSVP.
