Waubonsee Community College, in partnership with Ladder Up, will provide free tax preparation services at the college’s Aurora Downtown Campus, located at 18 S. River Street. These services are available to the community on Saturdays, Jan. 31 through Apr. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon. Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis only, and the site will close when capacity is reached.
Trained volunteer tax preparers will be on-site to prepare and electronically file federal and state income tax returns at no cost. These walk-in sessions will be available to households earning up to $40,000 or individuals earning up to $30,000.
