Walk, Run & WIN: Waubonsee Foundation 5K/10K and Golf Outing
3rd Annual Trail Race
Along with the 5K, this year's event introduced a 10K option, and featured a performance by the Waubonsee student jazz band, and a touch-a-truck event for kids. A record 265 participants came out to Walk, Run and WIN with Waubonsee on June 3, 2023
35th Annual Golf Outing
The Foundation's 35th annual golf outing on September 26, 2022 was filled to capacity and raised nearly $62,000.
A Record Year for the Foundation
Fundraising is but one function of the Waubonsee Community College Foundation, and the distribution of student scholarships saw equally impressive gains this year. The Foundation received 567 scholarship applications in FY2023 and provided 364 scholarship awards totaling nearly $363,000.

Foundation Board
The Waubonsee Community College Foundation was chartered in 1978 as a 501(c)3 tax exempt, nonprofit organization to advance the educational and charitable purposes of Waubonsee Community College. The mission of the Waubonsee Community College Foundation is to cultivate philanthropic donors, to responsibly steward its assets and to equitably award scholarships to students to help them achieve their educational goals. The Waubonsee Community College Foundation raised $850,880 in FY2023, an astounding 202% increase from FY2022. This impressive leap was due in large part to receipt of the Foundation's largest single donation to date.
