Darrin Kader, Assistant Vice President of Finance
Waubonsee Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Darrin Kader, of DeKalb, to the position of Assistant Vice President of Finance.
Kader is a veteran accounting professional who brings over 18 years of higher education experience, along with 9 years in banking and public accounting. He specializes in financial operations, process improvement, and regulatory compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) within higher education.
Before joining Waubonsee, Kader served as the Director of Accounting Services at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Neb. Known for his collaborative leadership style, Kader has a history of ensuring audit accuracy and providing strategic financial guidance to support institutional efficiency.
Kader holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Arizona State University, as well as a Master of Accounting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
