The Waubonsee Community College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO).

“We are grateful to the First National Bank of Omaha for this generous grant and we look forward to providing more services and assistance to small businesses. This grant would be tremendous at any time, but it is especially important right now as businesses work through the challenges that have come from dealing with the coronavirus,” said Harriet Parker, Small Business Development Center Manager at Waubonsee.

This grant will be used to fund bilingual business advisory services to provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs and small business owners, as well as to support our services in Kane, Kendall and DeKalb Counties.

“We are committed to the success of the communities we serve, and by investing in your organization, we are taking steps to fulfill that commitment,” said Eric Petre, the FNBO Illinois Retail Branch Manager, in the award letter to Waubonsee.
