The Auto Body Repair Program at Waubonsee Community College recently received reaffirmation of accreditation through the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation.

In January, the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) and the Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES) merged to form the ASU Education Foundation. In February, a team from this newly-formed group performed an on-site evaluation of the college’s Auto Body Repair Program. The evaluation examined areas of instruction, the course of study and facilities and equipment. It was determined through this evaluation that the program meets the standards of quality for training collision technicians. The reaffirmation extends through April 2023.

In addition to its accreditation, Waubonsee’s Auto Body Repair Program is nationally recognized for the success of the students. Waubonsee’s students regularly succeed in the annual national SkillsUSA®. Visit www.waubonsee.edu/autobody to learn more about the program and to register for classes.
