Waubonsee Community College again will offer an abundance of live concerts this spring – and no tickets will be required.

From April 26 - May 17, Waubonsee will host a series of six live performances in an assortment of musical genres. All shows are free and open to the public, and will be performed on Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive.

The series starts on Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m., with a Sophomore Recital in The Little Theatre, Von Ohlen Hall, Room 114.

The Waubonsee Jazz Band continues the series the following Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m., with a concert in the Waubonsee Auditorium. The show includes a special guest performance from the Vern Spevak Big Band.

The Waubonsee Chorale and Concert Band will take the stage on Friday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Waubonsee Auditorium. On Thursday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m., the Waubonsee Rock Band will present its spring concert, in the Waubonsee Auditorium, and the Waubonsee Steel Band will follow with its show on Friday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium.

A General Student Recital will cap off the weeks of free music on Sunday, May 17, at 3 p.m. in The Little Theatre, Von Ohlen Hall, Room 114.
