Fifteen more nursing candidates became eligible to join the ranks of health care professionals after graduating from Waubonsee Community College’s Nursing program during a pinning ceremony Dec. 18.

The December pinning was one of four such ceremonies in 2014 at Waubonsee, recognizing nursing candidates who graduated at various points in the past year.

Nursing graduates are now eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Exam.

December graduates included: Elizabeth Hernandez, Jamie Minott and Melissa Sheppard, all of Aurora; Rebecca Greenlee-Lambesis, Kristen Hubbard and Hillary Smith, all of Batavia; Scott Dixon, of Geneva; Stacy Schomer, of Newark; Jordan Green and Matilde Rios, each of Oswego; Brooke Kleinprinz, of Sandwich; Jessica Vidito, of Somonauk; and Jessica Henderson, Amanda Thomas and Rebekah Weihrauch, all of Yorkville.

In addition to classroom learning, Waubonsee nursing graduates performed clinical education at local health care facilities, including Rush-Copley Medical Center and Presence Mercy Medical Center, both in Aurora; Cadence Delnor Hospital in Geneva; and Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb.
