Waubonsee Community College will host events and activities from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4 as part of First Fridays in downtown Aurora.

Waubonsee’s Jazz Combo will be performing and the college’s art students will host an exhibition which will include a ceramics throwing demonstration.

William Estrada, a visiting artist who works with community art projects, will be there to help attendees make their own silkscreen t-shirts.

Also, attendees can meet actors from the Fox Country Players, and take a selfie with Jig, a 60-lb. albino Burmese python from 6 to 8 p.m. Waubonsee and the Fox Country Players will present their fall musical, Children of Eden, at Waubonsee’s Sugar Grove Campus for six performances in October. The college’s events will be held at Waubonsee’s Aurora Downtown Campus at 18 S. River St. The event is free and open to the public. Silkscreened t-shirts will be available while supplies last.
