Waubonsee Community College will host two family entertainment events in October.

The college’s Community Education Division and the Fox Country Players present Shrek The Musical on Friday, Oct 5 and 12; Saturday, Oct. 6 and 13 and on Sunday, Oct. 7 and 14. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, this Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure brings all the beloved characters from the film to life on stage. The Friday and Saturday performances start at 7 p.m. and the Sunday performances start at 2 p.m. All performances are in the Auditorium on the Sugar Grove Campus.

On Saturday, Oct. 27, Waubonsee will host comedian-juggler, Marcus Monroe. Monroe is a winner of the prestigious Andy Kaufman Award for original and creative performance by combining innovative juggling with high-energy improvised comedy to create a unique experience for each audience. The performance will be in the Auditorium on the Sugar Grove Campus and will start at 7 p.m.
