Children of Eden

Waubonsee Community College and the Fox Country Players will present their fall musical, Children of Eden! From musical theatre greats, composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell) and writer/director John Caird (Les Miserables, Jane Eyre, Candide), comes a joyous and inspirational musical about family, love and faith. Adam, Eve, Noah and the "Father" who created them, deal with the headstrong, potentially disastrous actions of their respective children. The show ultimately delivers a bittersweet but inspiring truth: that "the hardest part of love... is letting go."

One of the most popularly produced musicals and Stephen Schwartz’s own favorite creation, Children of Eden features a talented cast of 30 from all over the Chicagoland area. Under the direction of Meg McGarry (Plano), with music direction by Eric Downs (Oswego), the production showcases stunningly beautiful music with a relatable, timely message of acceptance and hope. This beloved, biblical story will be enjoyed by the whole family and is suitable for all ages.

Shows will be performed Fridays and Saturdays: October 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th at 7 p.m. and Sundays: October 13th and 20th at 2 p.m. at the Waubonsee Community College Auditorium in Sugar Grove, Illinois. Tickets are $22 for adults and $16 for students and are available now at www.waubonseetickets.com. Running time is approximately 135 minutes with one 15-minute intermission. Let Children of Eden take you back to “The Beginning” and experience the beauty and wonder of creation and the hope and promise of a future we can forge together, hand-in-hand.
