Waubonsee Community College will host several events on the evening of Friday, Dec. 6 as part of First Fridays in downtown Aurora.

The events will be held on the college’s Aurora Downtown Campus and will feature Waubonsee’s Art and Music Programs. Students and staff will demonstrate the techniques of making ceramic art on the potter’s wheel. Ceramic items will be available for sale, as well.

In addition to the art demonstration and sale, the Waubonsee Jazz Combo and the Eric Binder Jazz Group will perform in the library on campus from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The college chorale will perform from 6:30 until 7 p.m. and again from 7:30 until 8 p.m. Also, William Estrada, a Chicago artist, will demonstrate his silk screening techniques on T-shirts. Shirts will be given free to attendees while supplies last.

Refreshments will be available and hot chocolate will be served as part of Downtown Aurora’s Cocoa Crawl.
