“Morning Promenade,” a photographic work by Waubonsee art student and Assistant Professor Cynthia Perez, in collaboration with Waubonsee student Kate Hanson, was recently published in Conceptual Magazine, a publication of the Fine Art Portrait Photography Guild.

Art works by Cynthia Perez, a Waubonsee Community College photography student and Assistant Professor of Health Care Interpreting, were selected for inclusion in an art exhibition at the fifth annual Art Takes Miami juried art and photography competition and exhibition at the SCOPE Art fair Dec. 7 in Miami Beach, Fla.

Staged by online artist community, See.Me, the art fair’s jury selected 20 images by Perez, who creates and displays her work under the name Cynthia Kannan, to be included in a special digital exhibition in Booth G19 at SCOPE Art.

Two more works, from the series “Alfeñiques” by Perez and Waubonsee student Kate Hanson, a photographer with Level OneSix Photography, were also featured in the first issue of Conceptual Magazine, a publication of the Fine Arts Portrait Photography Guild.

The images, “Follow the Light” and “Morning Promenade,” were published in January.

Perez also was recently interviewed by the Fine Art Portrait Photography Guild and was the featured artist for the blog, “Spotlight for Inspiration,” in December 2014.
