High School and College Faculty Team Up for Student Readiness

As a follow-up to its second annual College and Career Readiness Summit in February, Waubonsee Community College recently hosted mathematics and English faculty meetings at its Sugar Grove Campus on April 30. Representing Waubonsee and 10 area high schools, the 37 attendees all discussed ways to better prepare students for college and the work world.

Waubonsee Program Nets $1.2 Million in Tax Refunds

This tax season, Waubonsee Community College’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program was able to return more than $1.2 million to the local economy.

Waubonsee Automotive Program Named GreenLink Shop

Waubonsee Community College’s automotive technology facility has been named a GreenLink Shop by the Coordinating Committee for Automotive Repair (CCAR). Waubonsee is one of just four shops in the state and the first school in the nation to earn this designation.
