Waubonsee Course Explains How to Market Using Video

Waubonsee Community College’s Workforce Development Department and local television producer Nancy Hanna are teaming up to offer “How to Use Video to Market Your Business” at the college’s Aurora Campus, 18 S. River St. Running on Saturday mornings from March 2 to March 23, the course will teach participants how to shoot video, edit footage in iMovie and upload the piece to YouTube, all while exploring cutting-edge techniques to help communicate the unique brand and vision of the company or nonprofit organization.

“Video is the fastest growing and most effective advertising strategy today,” said Hanna, who won an Emmy as the producer of the TV show “Aspiring Women” in 2006. “I’d like to see it accessible to everyone.”

The cost for the course is $219, and participants must bring their own flash drive and a camera that can shoot video.
