Showalter Appointed to Position of Full-Time Biology Instructor

The Waubonsee Community College Board of Trustees appointed Jennifer Showalter to the position of full-time biology instructor at their meeting June 20. The appointment is effective Aug. 15, 2012.

Showalter brings a variety of teaching experience at the university and community college level. She was a Teaching Assistant and Gross Anatomy Lab Assistant at Rush University, and she worked as an Anatomy Teaching Assistant at Robert Morris University. She is currently an Adjunct Instructor of anatomy and physiology at Waubonsee and the College of DuPage. In addition to her post-secondary teaching experience, Showalter previously taught science at Aurora Christian High School.

A resident of Batavia, Showalter earned a master’s degree in anatomy and cell biology from Rush University and a bachelor’s degree in biology secondary education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
