Waubonsee Celebrates African-American History Month

Waubonsee Community College student Victoria Bankston, of Oswego, presents a Maya Angelou poem at the college’s “Am I My Brother’s Keeper?” event on Feb. 29. Hosted by Waubonsee’s African Cultural Alliance student club, the Aurora Campus event also featured a speech by community activist Andy Williams and a spoken word performance by the V.E.N.T. Movement.
