Waubonsee Exhibit Features Chicago Artist

Whole wall featuring paintings; some are filled with vibrant primary colors, others are just black-and-white. Some feature listings of numbers while others feature human faces.
This untitled painting installation by artist Bernard Williams is part of an exhibit currently on display in the Arrowhead Room of Waubonsee Community College’s Sugar Grove Campus through Feb. 18.

Waubonsee Community College is hosting an exhibit by artist Bernard Williams through Feb. 18, 2012, in the Dickson Center’s Arrowhead Room on the Sugar Grove Campus, Route 47 at Waubonsee Drive. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Williams will discuss his work at a free lecture on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. in room 150 of Bodie Hall at the Sugar Grove Campus.

Williams earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Illinois before earning his Master of Fine Arts degree at Northwestern University in 1990. He has worked for The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and as a muralist with the Chicago Public Art Group.
